Why am I getting a file extension error?

SlideRoom does not accept files that have invalid characters in their filenames. These characters are ? " | < >. If your file contains any of these characters, you will receive an error. If your file does not have an extension, you will also receive an error that will stop you from uploading. If your filename contains a ? you will receive the file extension error because the system will remove everything after the question mark.

If your file has an extension, removing ? " | < > from the filename will correct this issue. If your file does not have a file extension, adding the appropriate extension will resolve this issue.

Note: Adding the wrong file extension will lead to a processing error or to the file being unusable by the organization. If you are uncertain about the proper file extension, open the file in the software that created it and save or export a new file so that it has the proper extension.

Why am I getting an error that says, "The email address you provided is already in use"?

If you have ever used a SlideRoom account in the past to apply to any organization, you do not need to register again. Try resetting your password by clicking the Forgot Password? link. The email you receive will allow you to set a new password and access your account.
